There are two major phases to the Search Engine Optimization (SEO) Services provided by Revelation Design, Inc. (RDI) covering both the effort in DEVELOPMENT and a follow-on MAINTENANCE effort.

SEO DEVELOPMENT SERVICES

The DEVELOPMENT phase covers all of the initial effort focused on developing a website, submitting the website to the major search engines for indexing, and taking first steps to improve the Search Engine Result Page (SERP) rankings. This phase is further divided into two minor phases which we refer to as static and dynamic.

Static Phase

A significant component of effective search engine optimization involves good design of the website home page or other page that acts as the gateway into the website. So during the static phase, RDI takes steps to design SEO into the website itself. Of course this assumes that the website is being developed by RDI. As part of this effort, keyword phrase selection and decisions on page content, graphics, photos and types of links will all have a direct impact on how the target page will be ranked by the major search engines.

New Website — If RDI will design the website, the cost to perform this initial work is included in the website design proposal.

Existing Website — If the website already exists, then a separate Initialization Fee will be charged to fund the effort associated with keyword evaluation and selection.

When the website is first released, RDI will submit the website home page to the major search engines for initial indexing. The cost of any submission fees is not included in the RDI base fees and will be billed to the client separately. The static phase ends when the submission is completed.

Dynamic Phase

The dynamic phase begins where the static phase ends. If not already defined, a list of 15 target keyword phrases will be developed and agreed to with the client. Then for a period of 6 months following the release of the website, RDI will monitor the ranking of each of the defined keyword phrases on all major search engines and provide monthly reports showing the current SERP positioning of each phrase. RDI will take appropriate action to increase those rankings where possible. The means to accomplish this may involve changes in the design and content of one or more existing website pages, as well as recommendations to increase external links to one or more website pages.

The dynamic phase is completed when the 6 month period ends and the sixth report has been submitted. At this point, the keyword SERP rankings are evaluated to determine what value the SEO effort has achieved according to a formula which gives greater value for higher rankings. If the total value achieved does not equal or exceed a client’s investment in SEO services, RDI guarantees a refund based upon the success of the results.

SEO MAINTENANCE SERVICES

When the DEVELOPMENT dynamic phase ends, the SEO benefits won’t last without continuous monitoring and resubmission. The web is always changing with new websites being added everyday. The search engine algorithms are often modified to keep ahead of their own competition. These changes will cause your search engine positioning to fall over time.

To prevent this from happening, RDI offers SEO maintenance services to keep your website visitors coming. While on maintenance, RDI will provide the same monthly reports as during the dynamic phase and will make changes and/or recommendations for changes to the website and resubmit the site for indexing as necessary.

Maintenance is purchased on a monthly basis in 3-month increments and may be cancelled anytime with a 30 day written notice to RDI.
